My Philosophy & Orientation

My true belief is that my clients hold all of the answers. I really love the quote, “People don’t change – they just become clearer versions of who they already are.” Well, you say, “If I hold all of the answers, why do I need you?” To tell you the truth, we all have our blind spots, including me! As a result, I can help you understand yourself better by way of my educational training and assist you in going after your career and life goals.

Some of the techniques that I may use are Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Narrative Assessment, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and the theory of Planned Happenstance via John Krumboltz, just to name a few. I am more than happy to discuss and explain any of these techniques with you if you have questions.

“An exceptionally solid counseling foundation complements Brad’s personal clarity, warmth, and ability to honor, accept and encourage. His special training, skills in career transitions and job search, and  current experience with workforce issues set him apart.”

Rich Feller, Ph.D.

President of the National Career Development Association 2012-13 Professor and Distinguished Teaching Scholar, Colorado State University

“Working with Collaborative Careers was truly an enriching experience. Brad Graham’s unique counseling style and combination of useful assessments helped me better understand how my personal and professional life intersects. His formula of self-awareness and action helped me identify and secure my dream career.”

“By working with Brad, I was able to identify the disconnection was having with my current career and recognize how it negatively impacted other areas of my life.  He helped me gain a sense of clarity around my strengths and assisted me in focusing my talents towards more fulfilling employment.”

“Working with Brad at Collaborative Careers  was very helpful.  I was feeling stuck and unfulfilled in my current work role, and was referred to Brad by a colleague.  With his help, I was able to determine a career opportunity that I was really excited about .  I am grateful to the work we did as it helped me to refocus my career and life objectives and encouraged me to go after my career goals.  I would recommend Brad to anyone looking to make a career transition in their life.”
